Bree is our gun industry placements coordinator who equips our students with optimal placement opportunities across various sub-divisions in the Sports Industry. Bree serves her purpose in the Placement & Pathways team to engage leading sport industry professionals to formulate optimal learning opportunities for students to undertake their placement hours, exercise common industry skills and explore their career interests.
With over 5 years’ experience in mass participation events, Bree has worked closely with a vast range of stakeholders to deliver events such as the 2XU Triathlon Series, Wing’s for Life World Run & Amy’s Gran Fondo. Bree enjoys encouraging students to explore the industry and brings her familiarity of event volunteering and paid work, networking and skill development to her role.
Having studied a dual diploma herself, Bree understands the incredible prospects that can come from studying in a Vocational setting. She uses this to encourage students to have a ‘growth-mindset’, utilizing a diverse range of placement opportunities to make the most of their time at Richmond Institute. During her studies, Bree travelled to Calgary in Canada to work within the Athletics and Recreation department at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Her time there cemented her passion for sport, events and working with student athletes to maximize their potential not only on the ‘field’ but from a professional development standpoint also.
Outside of work, Bree enjoys hanging out with her nieces, hitting the gym and taking her Nana to the footy (although, she does prefer a black and white colour palette).
