COURSE INFORMATION</span
INTRODUCTION
The Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30321) is delivered through Richmond Football Club’s collaboration with Swinburne University of Technology. This program is aimed at developing the next generation of leaders within the sports, fitness and recreation industry.
This course has intensive practical blocks which prepares you for a career as a fitness professional and/or a physical preparation coach. With a combination of face-to-face and online delivery, students will learn from industry experts and will be prepared for future success.
With a strong focus on the fundamentals of anatomy, risk and safety, group facilitation and customer service, students will walk away with the required qualification and confidence to begin their career.

Course Information
Personal Development
Focusing on Personal Development, students will have the ability to thrive and unleash their full potential. Student’s will better understand themselves whilst improving their mental fitness, resilience, and connection to others.
Certificates & Qualifications
As part of this qualification, students will undertake HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.
On successful completion of the course, students may be eligible to apply for:
- Level 1 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association
- Level 1 Sports Trainer
Ambassadors & Guest Speakers
Guest speakers, industry experts and formal ambassadors are regularly used as part of the program to provide their insights and experience about the industry.

Industry Placements
Students may have industry placement opportunities through the Richmond Football Club’s subsidiary business, Aligned Leisure. Their facilities are based in Pakenham, Eltham, Mildura & Wodonga. Students may also have opportunities with Richmond’s AFLW and VFL programs, this is depending on availability and COVID-19 restrictions.
Job Ready
The teaching staff work relentlessly with students to ensure they are job ready. Students will undertake Employability Skills Training that are specific to the sport, fitness and recreation industry. Assistance is provided to help students build their individual professional profile and stand out from the crowd.
Further Education
This is a nationally approved vocational course that is recognised throughout Australia.
Swinburne offers a range of TAFE and undergraduate courses. Students who successfully complete this qualification may be eligible to apply into a related course or degree at Swinburne. Further information regarding pathways can be found by visiting the Swinburne website.
