RICHMOND INSTITUTE DELIVERING ON BEHALF OF LIFESAVING VICTORIA
Richmond Institute is the education arm of the Richmond Football Club and a leader in sports industry education. In 2020 Richmond Football Club formed a partnership with Life Saving Victoria (LSV) to deliver accredited training on their behalf to Richmond Institute staff and students.
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is a registered training organisation (RTO ID: 21799) regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) approved to deliver nationally accredited vocational education and training services throughout Victoria. more than 500 staff and our lifesaving clubs have more than 37,000 members. Together LSV and Richmond Institute work with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses, and the broader aquatic industry, to achieve our combined organisations’ visions and missions.
About our First Aid Training Courses
This course will equip candidates to act quickly and confidently in an emergency. The course focus includes casualty assessment, one and two person CPR, choking, situation management and emergency services communication.
This course requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. It is recommended that candidates are 14 years and older when they undertake the course. In addition to this, candidates attending an update course must hold the current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment prior to attending.
The First Aid Statement of Attainment is valid for a period of 3 years and CPR Statement of Attainment is valid for a period of 12 months.
Group bookings will need to have a minimum of 12 participants.
Life Saving Victoria’s CPR training course will equip candidates to act quickly and confidently in an emergency situation. The course focus includes casualty assessment, one and two person CPR, choking, situation management and emergency services communication.
This course requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. It is recommended that candidates are 12 years and over when they undertake the course. In addition to this, candidates attending an update course must hold the current HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Statement of Attainment prior to attending.
The Statement of Attainment is valid for a period of 12 months.
