Australian Diamond Madison Robinson talks athletic performance

Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership students were provided with a unique opportunity to hear from Australian Diamonds netballer, Madison Robinson earlier in the week.

Robinson was invited to Richmond Football Club to present to students around the challenges of preparing for life as an elite athlete.

“Athlete Performance is an important module of our program and to have Maddy come in and chat to our students about how she prepares herself both physical and mentally, was a great benefit to our students,” Damien Villarosa,  Head of Education & Training at the Richmond Football Club said.

Robinson is the first in a long line of industry experts and sports professionals who will deliver important content to students throughout the year.

“Our program is very unique.  As an elite sports club, we understand the challenges that players and coaches face on a daily basis, so to be able to apply these learnings and experiences into a “university” type environment is an innovative approach that clearly sets our program apart from that of other providers,” Villarosa said.

The Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership program is run in partnership with Swinburne University of Technology, with all students having the option to enter any business degree at Swinburne, upon successful completion of the program.  For more fe information on the program, please contact Damien Villarosa on dvillarosa@richmondfc.com.au<mailto:dvillarosa@richmondfc.com.au> or 0473 111109.
