Diversity and cultural awareness

Diversity and cultural awareness was the focus of a Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership session in mid-May.

Staff from Richmond’s centre for Indigenous youth, the Korin Gamadji Institute, addressed students on cultural awareness.

KGI Program Manager, Thara Brown, spoke of the important moments in Australia’s Indigenous history.

Brown also expanded on the connection with Richmond and the significance of this year’s Dreamtime at the ‘G match against Essendon.

Richmond’s Fan Engagement and Marketing Coordinator (Diversity), Rana Hussain, then highlighted the importance of diversity.

Hussain spoke of her journey to the Club, some of the challenges she has faced and what the Tigers are doing to create an inclusive working environment.
